After watching my Shark Tank Proposal speech, I can honestly
say that I did better than I expected.
Before I watched my proposal speech, I thought that I didn’t present my
speech well and that I couldn’t get the idea of my documentary out there. But
after watching my proposal speech, I realized that I had no reason to doubt
myself, and that I did my best and I am very proud of myself for being able to
present the speech the way I did. Of course there are still some points I need
to work on; for starters, the speed and tone of my voice, I realized that when
I am nervous I tend to speak faster than I normally should and that the tone of
my voice starts to become shaky, which makes me more nervous. One other thing
that I noticed and was unaware of while giving my speech was that I stayed in
my place, when I should have walked around a bit, not pacing but I should have
taken slight movements. I am glad that I was able to present my points clearly,
some of the points were vague and I could have explained them more clearly but
the idea was there.
For my next speech, three things I would like to focus on
are, the speed and tone of my voice, the movements I should take while giving a
speech and the way I should present some points. Hopefully for my next speech, I would have
practiced on the things that needed more focus on, which will help me in giving
a better speech.
